Consignment Guidelines

Thank you for choosing The White Willow! We appreciate your support for our small business. Below are a few guidelines to help in choosing clothing/shoes to consign with us.

Clothing

Clothing must be clean and free of stains. We ask that all clothing be in very good condition, without rips or tears. Certain clothing styles may not be accepted due to being out of date/season. See our website for updates on what is being accepted. (www.thewhitewillowboutique.com)

Items are accepted by appointment, with a limit of 20 items per WEEK (You may only have a total of 80 items on our floor at any given time). You may call to book an appointment or book on our website. We do ask that all items be brought in on hangers OR folded neatly in a tote to ensure that we can look through items quickly. You will receive your hangers back during that time. Items will be priced according to the discretion of management, unless otherwise stated by the consignor. All unsold clothing items will be donated after going through a markdown period, unless the consignor requests items to be returned. All items will be part of our weekly sales and clearance markdown will happen after 90 days. Markdowns depend on the condition, season, and demand for the item. In addition, WW will hold normal periodic sales of out of season clearance merchandise.

Shoes

Shoes must be in like new condition with no tears, scuffs or dirt. Shoes will follow the same donation and clearance schedule as clothes, unless otherwise indicated by consignor.

We will not be consigning:

Prom gowns

Evening gowns

Suits

Undergarments/lingerie

LULAROE

SHEIN

TEMU

Alfred Dunner

Ruby Rd.

Walmart (unless new with tags)

Old Navy (unless new with tags)

Donations & Returns

All consignors have the option to pick up their unsold items after 90 days, or they can be donated to the charities that we work with. Please note that if you have indicated that you want your items returned, your consignment split will be different.

Consignment splits

Consignment is a 50/50 split of the selling price of the item if your account is marked DONATE.

If your account is marked RETURN, consignment split will be 60/40 (This is due to the extra time/manpower it takes to pull your items & store them for pick-up.)

Donations: All of our donations are sent to Dress For Success River Cities & Maxine's Closet of Chesapeake United Methodist Church.

Once you have sold items and your account is $10 or more, you may pick up a check/cash at any time. We also have a direct deposit option for a 2.50$ fee. You are welcome to call/e-mail me to check your balance as well.
